The Riverfront Residence Hall opened in Fall 2009 to meet the growing demand for student housing in the Flint area. The former Hyatt Regency Hotel has undergone a $20 million renovation to transform it into premium student housing. The first phase of the new Riverfront Residence Hall currently offers housing for 250 students. Ammenities include wireless Internet, a movie theater, a game room, a fitness center and multipurpose study and meeting rooms. The second phase of this moderm 16-story structure will eventually provide room for 550 students and will be complete by Fall 2011.
